Join the most weird and wonderful cast of the DC Weirdo Show for Weirdos for Life: A Fundraiser for Trans Lifeline, featuring acts of drag, comedy, music, burlesque, fire, dance and more! Proceeds benefit the Trans Lifeline, which provides peer and legal support for the trans population. Doors open at 8 p.m. for a 9 p.m. show.

Juggle Jam @ CHAW

Join experienced juggler Christian Kloc for this fun and engaging workshop/performance at the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop. The class begins with a brief demo, then gets juggling props into your hands and concludes with a collaborative performance, putting your newfound circus talents in the center ring! All ages and skill levels are welcome. Cost is a $5 suggested donation.

Visit Baltimore’s Creative Alliance to see a showcase featuring students who have spent eight weeks honing their burlesque acts with veterans of the trade. This show is a body-positive celebration of mindfulness, emotion and physical comedy that is not to be missed.

Maryland Renaissance Festival — Celtic Weekend

Gallivant about the magical realms of the Maryland Renaissance Festival, where visitors can delight in live circus, sideshow, theater and musical acts, alongside jousting demonstrations, food stalls, costume shops and artisan vendors. The setting? The village of Revel Grove (aka Annapolis, Md.) amidst the reign of Henry the VIII during his marriage to Anne Boleyn. Get lost in the 1530s and let history come to life!

Kids younger than 7 years get in for free throughout the festival’s run. Gates open at 10 a.m., festival closes at 7 p.m.

Handstand & Bodyweight Workshop with Simon Ata

Learn the proper progressions for bodyweight strength training by practicing handstands, levers and muscle-ups with gymnastics and movement expert Simon Ata. This workshop serves all skill levels and provides a systematic approach to attaining bodyweight mastery. This is a two-day workshop on 9/14 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.-4 p.m. and 9/15 from 9 a.m.-11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.-3 p.m.
