Sunset & Chill

Discover a night of fire spinning, yoga, great DJs, prop vendors, art exhibitions and more at Sunset & Chill. This continuing series of spin jams is a great introduction to the fire community in D.C., and an awesome opportunity to get in on the burn. The organizers will also be raffling off a set of glitterbomb contact poi from Flowtoys to one lucky guest.

Circus District: Juggle Jam

October 19th @ 6 p.m.

Join experienced juggler Christian Kloc for a night of juggling demonstration, practice and performance. With an upbeat soundtrack and instruction for all levels, Circus District’s Juggle Jam helps your juggling talents flourish. This one-hour workshop starts with a short demo, moves into hands-on juggling practice and finishes with a collaborative performance in which students take the center ring!

Costs a $5 suggested donation to CHAW’s tuition assistance program.

Chinese Warriors of Peking

Behold incredible acts of juggling, acrobatics, contortion, weapons manipulation, hoop diving and live stage combat at this high-intensity reenactment of China’s annual martial arts competition from the Ming Dynasty. The Chinese Warriors of Peking present visually stunning productions and have toured their slack wire act internationally with Cirque du Soleil.

Seattle’s contemporary circus troupe Acrobatic Conundrum visits the east coast to perform ‘The Fig Tree Waltzes,’ a show that combines dance and circus, pushing its performers to their physical limits to portray humanity’s persistent fight against overwhelming odds.
