Re-Setting the Stage: In Conversation with Robert Wilson

Take advantage of this FREE program at the Hirshhorn (must register at the Eventbrite link below), bringing you an intimate conversation with director, designer and performance artist Robert Wilson. Wilson has left an indelible mark on the look of theater and opera. He was the theatrical producer of Einstein on the Beach by Philip Glass in 1976, and more recently collaborated with Lady Gaga on her living interpretation of Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres’s Portrait of Mademoiselle Caroline Rivière at the Hirshhorn’s 2014 exhibition Days of Endless Time. Arrive early for happy hour at the Dolcezza cafe from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Doors to the Ring Auditorium open at 6 p.m. for this 6:30 p.m. talk with Melissa Chiu, director of the Smithsonian Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden.
