Whether or not you’ve seen all of the cult classics of American film, you’re guaranteed a riotously good time at DC Weirdo Show’s Drive-In Movie, where the star-studded lineup of variety performers will pay homage to a range of movies from the Wizard of Oz to Star Wars to the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Do you like fire jams, LED see-saws and a proper get-down on a Friday night? Silent Chill is overqualified to meet your needs. Enjoy a silent disco, costume contest and fiery circus entertainment all night long. From 10 to 10:30 p.m., event host Peculiarity Productions will perform fire manipulation, and also preview their Fringe show 8 Bit Circus S*it, which will bring video games from the console to the stage through fire arts — and if you need a more tantalizing description, this is ‘a show where pyro fighters battle for supremacy and the audience feels the terror of being trapped in the nightmare world of Silent Hill.’ AKA awesome.
Tickets available at the door: $10
