Performing the Border: Street Light Circus

June 17th @ 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.

How can circus performance redefine a space and explore the borders drawn between one neighborhood and another, between artist and viewer, between humans and buildings? See a collection of local artists grappling with the notion of borders and barriers at Performing the Border’s Opening Reception, presented by the Alper Initiative for Washington Art. The reception is free and open to the public, and will feature live aerial, juggling and handstand performances by Street Light Circus throughout the exhibit.
